PS Terminal is an oil storage terminal jointly-shared by Shell and PETRONAS located in Bintulu, Sarawak.
In 2017, Shell was planning to upgrade the loading capacity of its Bitumen Storage and Transfer Facility at the PS Terminal, from 60 m3/hr to 120 m3/hr.
IFP Engineering was assigned to perform Process Engineering Verification of the existing Hot Oil System which supplies Hot Oil to the Bitumen Pipelines, Storage Tank Heating Coils, and Suction Heaters.
As part of the verification work, an Adequacy Study had been conducted by determining the Required Heat Duty and Hot Oil Demand.
